Carnival

Carnival is Madeira's first major event of the year, featuring parades and themed parties across all counties. The main event is the parade in Funchal on Saturday evening, with samba groups showcasing vibrant costumes, light, color, and music. A comedic and satirical parade, "Cortejo Trapalhão", also takes place on Tuesday afternoon, open to public participation.
