PR 17 – Caminho do Pináculo e Folhadal is a circular trail located in central Madeira. The official length of the trail is approximately 17 kilometers, with an elevation gain of around 900 meters. The route typically takes between 6 to 7 hours to complete, depending on pace and stops. The trail takes you through lush laurel forests, volcanic landscapes, offering spectacular views of the island’s interior mountains and valleys.
Please note that parts of the trail are currently partly closed due to maintenance or natural conditions. It's advisable to check the latest trail status before planning your hike.
⚠️ Status: Partially open. Accessible between Encumeada – Folhadal – Caramujo – Bica da Cana.
